The sun was shining and sausages were sizzling!
It was a great day for AVSOC as we partnered with CureCancer for a BarbeCure event with the purpose of raising money to help find a cure for cancer. On Tuesday 18th of June, we gathered in the Physics Lawn at 11.30am to prepare for our BBQ.
We had balloons, flyers, flags and banners to raise awareness and let people know of all the hard work that is being done by the CureCancer researchers in order to find a cure for cancer. For a donation of $2, you could get a sausage sizzle, chat with us, and broaden your knowledge about cancer and cancer research! It was nice seeing that the Aviation staff members, students or even just people walking past were highly aware and interested about the research.
