On Tuesday 29th October 2019, the UNSW Aviation Society held its Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Our President Ashan provided us with an overview of the events and initiatives the society ran throughout the year. These included:

● Merchandise
● Party Bus
● Linkedin Workshop
● Peer Mentoring
● Study Tour
● Alumni Trivia Night
● Plane Spotting
● Revision Workshops
● Careers Expo
● Digital Transformation of the Society
● Subcommittee
Our Treasurer Henry then provided an outlook into the financial state of the society. We found that by the end of the year, the club should expect to see a profit.
Our Arc Delegate Monty then ran us through the proposed constitutional changes which will be enacted in 2020. These changes were:
● Addition of Grievance Officer to the role of the Secetary
● Changes to voting system – Each member is entitled to 2 weighted votes where the first preference vote is weighted twice as heavy as the second preference vote
● Renaming of Webmaster to Media Coordinator
The Society then heard the 2020 Executive Position candidates present their speeches on their suitability of their desired positions.
The announcement for the 2020 Executive Team will be revealed at our ball on the 8th November 2019.
