With Term 1 in full swing, AvSoc is proud to have hosted its first social event for the year: a welcoming event for all first-year aviation students! Hosted conveniently on campus at the Roundhouse, we received an exceptional turnout of students across both the flying and management streams. We are also encouraged to see so many sign-ups for our peer mentoring program: one of our core initiatives of the year for new students.
The event also provided a perfect opportunity for AvSoc’s 2021 Peer Mentors to commence their role and further support first-year students in their transition to university life. The executives thoroughly enjoyed talking with all attendees and we are thrilled to see so many new faces (both in-person and online) join and engage with current society members.
