On the 16th of June 2021, AvSoc held its annual plane spotting event! Although it was expected to rain during the event, a mix of students from the School of Aviation still rocked up at “The Beach” to take part in the event. Thankfully, mother nature allowed us to get through the event without a single drop of rain.
Despite the current circumstances, on top of the usual domestic carriers, we were lucky to see a few international carriers such as Singapore Airlines, Qatar, China Southern and Air Canada! Students also managed to get the opportunity to talk to 16r_media, a professional plane spotter based at Sydney Airport!
Overall, the event was successful and was a great opportunity for students to take a short break from their studies and do something that they are enthusiastic about – spot planes!
